Sturdie is pleased to have completed the LED lighting rollout upgrade for The Good Guys. One hundred seven stores were upgraded within 8 months, installing and disposing of 12,840 light fittings during regular trading hours, working around customers and completing the works within the clients budget.
Strudie was proud to complete the Spotlight and Anaconda CCTV rollout project Australia wide. The project consisted of installing new CCTV systems to 102 existing Spotlight & 24 Anaconda stores, during trading hours working around customers safely.
We were pleased to complete the project under budget and within the client’s required time frame of nine months.
Sturdie are proud to have played a big part in the successful completion of OZ Minerals Office, Building 183 Export Park at the Adelaide Airport. Sarah Constructions in conjunction with Studio Nine transformed at old 80s warehouse into a new open plan office accommodation for up to 80 people, and won the 2019 Australian Institute of Building Professional Excellence in Building Award for Interior Design in the process. The acoustic considerations due to the close proximity of the airport and the tight time-frame set by OZ Minerals were just a few of the challenges Sturdie overcame to complete the electrical services, CCTV system, MATV, building sound system, PowerTag power monitoring system and Photovoltaic power generation system associated with the new OZ Minerals office.
Our Melbourne based team has delivered such an outstanding and challenging project, securing the clients fifty thousand square metre yard including warehouse.
Sturdie completed the full in-house design, installation and commissioning of ICT Protégé GX access control system, Hikvision IP CCTV system with licence plate recognition & line tripping (perimeter) cameras, Hikvision IP intercoms, Vehicle and truck entry bollards, the complete data and fibre network throughout the fifty thousand square metre site and Pedestrian security turnstile gates.
Sturdie completed the full in-house, design
supply and installed for an IP CCTV system to meet the client's requirements. The
systems included two hot-swap failover backup Network Video Recorders, with the
team working in high-security environments with dust minimisation measures and
ensure no interruption to the client's essential assets.
This project at AGL Torrens Island Power Station is to supply and install a 1250 KVA Diesel Generator for B Station and to install a 400 KVA Diesel Generator in A Station. The generators will be used to provide backup power to the power station during blackout events such as September 2016. As you can well imagine installing backup generators within an operational power station has its challenges. Sturdie completed Arc Flash Studies and Protection Studies to ensure the new generators would interface with the existing plant. The cable installation from the 1250 KVA Generator to the Emergency Switchboard is 5 x 240mmsq flexible cables per phase and were hauled along new cable ladder then up a cable riser.
Sturdie worked closely with SAGE to deliver the hardwood processing plant for 3RT. The plant consisted of an Orma Press from Italy which weighs 27 ton, 2 x Robots for loading and unloading the production line, infrared heat banks to help glue the lamination's of wood together and an Osama glue machine to apply glue between the lamination's. Sturdie supplied and installed a 1000 Amp Main Dist. Board for the production line, including the design and installation of all cable pathways and cabling for power and control, including Profibus, safety systems, Variable Speed Drives and conveyor sensors.
